The RacersGarage is moving it's TeamSpeak 3 server to a new IP address. The current server costs $8.99 a month and is limited to 20 concurrent users. It will now be hosted on the same server that we use to host our races and any other dedicated server games we host.

We will no longer be limited to 20 users and it is no additional cost over what the gaming server costs. It should be a better arrangement for the RacersGarage overall.

I have it pretty much configured and ready to go, but want to test a bit more before going live. The current server will be shut down February 17, 2012. I will begin handing out Permission Keys very shortly to those that request them.

Watch the forum for the IP address, port, and the process for requesting a full access key in the next day or so!

WALT HURDLEY WINS AT POCONO! 

Walt Hurdley makes it two wins in a row by taking the checkers over second place Buck Todd. Hurdley credits his win to a two tire pitstop on the last stop and managing to hit his marks consistently at NASCAR's "Tricky Triangle". He also commented that the setup was so experimental, that he really didn't know what he had unti the race started. He also credited his team for the many changes he made in the pits during the race to get his car to winning form!

The pole position was taken once again by Mike Mahoney who unfortunately failed to finish the race because his pit crew apparently waked out on him shortly after the race started. Unable to get his car serviced, he was forced to retire from the race! He promises to have a new crew together before his next race.

The race saw 22 lead changes among 8 drivers and the return of long time RRA member Brian Barden back to the league! Matt Hoffman made a notable effort leading the most laps at 36, however fading at the end to finish fourth behind Mark Ketteler. Phil Essick, who is normally the spoiler on fuel strategy here, rounded out the top 5.

There was only one caution lap on lap 12 when eventual winner Walt Hurdly lost the handling on his car and self spun which shows just how much better that team got his car from the start of the race to the end!

Watkins Glen is next up and it promises to seperate the roadies from the ovals!

WALT HURDLEY KISSES THE BRICKS AT INDY! 

Mike Mahoney would get the pole position at the Brickyard, followed by Walt Hurdley with the second fastest lap. No one knew that 64 laps later those two positions would be switched! Walt Hurdley's #23 Chevy just had a bit more left at the end of the race than Mike Mahoney's #07 Chevy. Maybe Mike used up his car while leading the most laps in the race at 45 laps! Mark Ketteler, Bill Wilson, and Sean Higgins finished out the top 5 finishing positions.

Unlike the last week at New Hampshire, caution flags didn't play a huge role in the race with the yellow flag only flying three times although the last caution erased any fuel strategies when it flew at lap 51 for the final time!

Phil Essick had a very uncharacteristic spin when running over the rumble strips and getting propelled into the unforgiving wall which destroyed his car and any chance for finishing.

For the most part the race was fuel and tire management with 13 lead changes among 6 of the RRA drivers.

Mike Mahoney commanded the race, but in the end it was the crafty veteran champion Walt "Shadow" Hurdley who managed to slip by Mahoney in the closing laps on his way to kiss the famed bricks at Indianapolis!

Mahoney is leading the RRA Cup series by one point over Hurdley going into the "Devil's Triangle" - POCONO, where the teams will try to figure out how to set up their cars for a long race where every turn is completely different!!

Who will conquer the triangle??
